PRECISION RIFLE COURSE (PRC) Level 1

Target Down Group, Inc. will administer a Precision Rifle Course (PRC) Level I in order to develop and enhance individual skills specifically pertaining to long range precision rifle marksmanship.

The TDG, Inc. PRC Level I will focus on the application of the fundamentals of precision rifle marksmanship. Subjects taught and applied will be; The use of mils (or minutes) to engage targets, scope manipulation, weapons cleaning and maintenance, unknown distance (UKD) target engagement by utilizing range estimation techniques, known distance (KD) target engagement by utilizing Laser Range Finders (LRF's), Kestrel ballistic engine use, reading and calling wind, firing from unsupported and supported positions to include tripods, external ballistics, observation and memorization exercises, positional shooting from barricades, rapid target engagement (RTE), precision shooting drills, plus there is an optional night shoot where you can shoot your own clip-on, Image Intensified (I2) Night Vision or Thermal Device or try out some of the Thermal devices from Pixels On Target and Thermal targets from Target Down Group, Inc.

Please attend this course with a bolt action or semi-automatic rifle equipped with a magnified optic, capable of a 1 Minute Of Angle (MOA) precision, along with 400 rounds of match grade ammunition. Calibers from 5.56mm up to and including 30cal magnums are permitted. Targets at the TDG, Inc. PRC range from 100 to 1,000 yards. The TDG, Inc. PRC runs from 08:00 to approximately 18:00 daily with an hour lunch break. Students are encouraged to bring clothing adequate for operating during the day and night plus the heat, cold and rain, based on current weather conditions.
